OUR MISSION

To help people and organizations build the capacity to function effectively under pressure — strengthening resilience, communication, and performance through practical, nervous system-informed training.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Resilience isn't about tolerating more stress.  It's about building the capacity to respond under pressure without losing clarity, connection, or effectiveness. We believe this capacity can be developed through awareness, regulation, and consistent practice.

Laura brings together a powerful synthesis of education, behavior management, professional coaching and specialized training in nervous system regulation and resilience.  With a Master’s degree in Education, her work focuses on helping individuals and teams build the capacity to navigate pressure with greater awareness, adaptability and effectiveness.

Her approach integrates professional coaching, nervous system awareness, somatic practices, and practical behavioral strategies. OUR STORY

From Burnout to Capacity

The Human Resilience Institute grew from a recognition that capable, committed people are often asked to manage increasing levels of stress without being given practical tools to understand or regulate its effects.  We have seen how sustained pressure can gradually affect health, communication, decision-making, and performance—often before people recognize what is happening. Too frequently, support comes only after stress has become overwhelming or burnout has already taken hold.

Our work is dedicated to changing that pattern. By combining nervous system awareness, professional coaching, behavioral strategies, and practical regulation skills, we help individuals and organizations build capacity before stress becomes depletion.
The goal is not simply to tolerate more pressure. It is to develop the awareness and skills needed to respond effectively, recover more readily, and sustain well-being and performance over time.

This mission is informed not only by professional practice, but also by a lived understanding of how sustained stress can affect health, clarity, and the ability to function effectively.
